School Organic Recycling (SOR) Program

Outdoor Classroom

Informing and Educating our youth (future environmental stewards). EESP provides School Organics Recycling Programs for elementary schools (specifically for 2^nd and 4^th graders) and High School students. These presentations follow the California State Standards and are held in the classrooms or in the schools garden area. Kids love the worms (vermicomposting) and quickly adapt to feeding their pets verses throwing the material into a trash, which ends up in the landfill.  Tools (like worm bin kits) are brought to schools for demonstrations and are left there for continuing hands-on classroom learning experience.
